Distance Learning Anatomy and Physiology Course with Medical Terminology

This course contains a solid review of basic anatomy and physiology through lectures and lecture outlines. Special applications to maternal and infant health are also outlined. The lectures are grouped into nine body systems -- cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, digestive, endocrine, urinary, reproductive, musculoskeletal, and immune. The areas are divided into lectures on the body system and then a discussion of the physiology of the organs. Included are common clinical problems, and maternal-child aspects.

Introduction to Human Anatomy and Physiology requires the viewing of 8 DVD's as well as reading the text, Medical Terminology w/ Human Anatomy by Jane Rice RN, CMA-C. The Student manual contains test questions in the form of multiple choice and short answer questions. The DVD series is developed and copyrighted by The Teaching Company of Springfield VA, and features Dr. Anthony Goodman, MD, FACS of Montana State University, and includes written outlines.

The course provides 24 L-CERPs and 175 R-CERPs, or 199 Contact Hours.
